Jean B. Berrette is an attorney, financial professional, insurance advisor, and business consultant with more than three decades of experience serving individuals, families, business and financial institutions in Haiti and the United States. His multidisciplinary background enables him to provide strategic guidance that integrates legal reasoning, financial expertise, risk management, and business development while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Jean’s academic journey began with the study of Economics, where he developed a strong understanding of financial systems, business management, and economic policy. Recognizing the close relationship between economics and the law, he later earned his Law degree from the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of the State University of Haiti (UEH). This combination of education established the foundation for a career that would bridge legal practice, finance, and strategic advisory services.

Following his legal studies, Jean established a distinguished legal career in Haiti, concentrating primarily on civil and family law through his private legal practice. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Port-au-Prince Bar Association, where he earned the respect of both colleagues and clients for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to justice. His leadership abilities led to his election as Secretary of the Board of the Port-au-Prince Bar Association, a position he held for two consecutive terms from 2015 to 2019. During his legal career, he also represented the Haitian State in significant legal proceedings and served as Legal Counselor for the Haitian Supreme Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation, contributing to matters involving public administration, accountability, and governance.

While building his legal practice, Jean continued to expand his professional expertise within Haiti’s financial sector. Drawing upon his academic background in economics, he accepted leadership positions in financial institutions and savings and credit cooperatives, serving as both Assistant Manager and Credit Director. These responsibilities strengthened his expertise in financial analysis, credit management, operational leadership, risk assessment, and strategic planning. The combination of legal knowledge and executive financial experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by individuals, entrepreneurs and organizations, allowing him to develop practical solutions from both legal and financial perspectives.

After relocating to the United States, Jean brought this extensive international experience to a new chapter of his professional journey by founding Zenith Consulting and Financial Services, LLC in Florida. Through Zenith, he provides comprehensive insurance, tax and financial consulting services designed to help individuals, families, and business owners protect their financial future, manage risk, and achieve long-term financial stability.

Today, Jean is licensed in the state of Florida to offer Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Variable Annuities, and Property & Casualty Insurance. His practice also includes professional tax preparation and financial consulting, allowing clients to benefit from integrated solutions that address multiple aspects of their financial lives under one trusted advisor.

Committed to lifelong learning, Jean continues to pursue advanced studies in U.S. taxation with the goal of further expanding his expertise in tax resolution, tax planning and advisory services.
